Ha Giang Loop with Jasmines Tours

Hanoi Backpackers Hostels / Jasmine Tours

Ha Giang Loop.Take the long way round.

Ma Pi Leng’s mountain roads. A boat through the Nho Que canyon. Dinner around a shared table. Head north with Jasmine Tours, with your enquiry and booking handled through our Hanoi hostel.

3 days / 2 nights or 4 days / 3 nights · Self-riding or Easy Rider · Shared homestays · Travel from Hanoi the day before

An enquiry, not an instant booking. We check the details with you before you commit.

The road is part of the experience. So are the people you share it with.
01 / Find your route

Three days or four?
Here’s the actual difference.

Both routes include Ma Pi Leng, the Nho Que boat trip and nights in Yen Minh and the Pa Vi / Meo Vac area. Four days adds Du Gia, another homestay night, waterfall time and a final day via Lung Tam. It is not the same route stretched out.

Prices are from our supplied booking sheet, not live rates. Confirm current price and availability on WhatsApp. VAT, optional upgrades and other applicable supplements are not included in these displayed figures.

Plan a Day 0: your Hanoi bus leaves the day before the riding tour starts. The 2 or 3 nights above are tour nights, not a promise of an included pre-tour bed.

02 / More than the viewpoint

Big scenery.
Small shared moments.

The passes give you the wide-angle version. Lao Sa, the Vuong family palace and homestay dinners bring the trip back to people, places and everyday life.

Expect a mix of road travel, stops to look around, a walking section when conditions allow and time on the river. At the end of the day, there’s a shared meal and a group to swap stories with.

Your camera roll is about to become everyone else’s problem.

03 / Your place on the bike

Handlebars or passenger seat?

Self-riding / you drive

For riders with suitable experience, not a first-ever lesson on mountain roads. A semi-automatic motorbike is the brochure-listed standard for this package.

  • You need valid riding documents accepted in Vietnam and appropriate insurance for the bike and activity.
  • Joining a guided group does not replace those requirements.
  • Tell us your experience and documents before booking; confirm eligibility and cover before committing.

Easy Rider / a driver rides

Travel as a passenger with a driver. You enjoy the views; your driver handles the hairpins.

  • An alternative if you do not want to drive or do not have the experience or documents to self-ride.
  • It is still a motorbike journey on mountain roads, not a risk-free option.
  • Check personal travel cover for riding as a passenger. Confirm which bike upgrades and damage-cover terms apply to this package.
04 / The road notes

05 / After the last bend

A shared table.
A place to land.

Standard accommodation is shared homestay / dorm-style: simple, communal and part of travelling with a group. Both routes stay in Yen Minh and the Pa Vi / Meo Vac area; the 4-day trip adds a night in Du Gia.

Private-room upgrades may be available. Ask about availability, occupancy and how the supplement is charged. Specific buildings and rooms are not guaranteed.

Social, not a participation test.

Communal meals, games and music give you ways to meet the group. Join in or take a quieter evening; social activities and drinking are optional.

“Happy water” means alcohol, not a required part of dinner. Drinks are excluded. Keep alcohol away from riding: never drink before or during it.

Travelling solo? You can enquire to join a group without bringing your own travel crew. We’ll check your date and arrangements.

Accommodation images, when added, illustrate the style of stay, not an assigned room.
06 / The practical small print, readable

What’s in. What’s extra.

Brochure-listed inclusions

  • Local tour guide and group travel.
  • Semi-automatic motorbike for the self-riding package; Easy Rider means travelling as a passenger with a driver.
  • Fuel, sightseeing tickets and the Nho Que River boat ticket.

  • Bike damage insurance listed for the semi-automatic bike. Confirm terms and applicability for your package and any upgrade.

Meals listed in the inclusion panel

4 days: 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches, 3 dinners.

Day-one breakfast needs confirmation: the meal panel counts it, but the day-one itinerary heading lists lunch and dinner only.

Bike damage insurance is not personal travel or medical insurance. Coverage limits, excesses and conditions are not specified in the supplied material; ask before booking.

07 / Start in Hanoi

Your trip starts with Day 0.

The important calendar detail: leave Hanoi the day before your first riding day, not that same morning.

  1. Day 0

    Hanoi → Ha Giang

The current working booking sheet lists Jasmine pickup times of 10:00 AM or 8:00 PM. These are pickup times, not confirmed bus departures. We’ll confirm your pickup point, schedule and exact bus type.

  2. Arrival

    Check your pre-tour bed

The brochure shows a dorm bed on arrival in Ha Giang. Ask whether it is included in your quote and how your arrival works. Sleeper transport and upgrades are shown, but do not assume a particular bus or an included free night.

  3. Day 1

    Briefing, then the road

The supplied itinerary lists a 10:00 AM briefing at Jasmine Hostel. Confirm the current meeting time with us when arranging your transfer.

08 / Make the logistics fit

09 / Before you message

Good questions. Straight answers.

Which duration should I choose?

Choose 3 days if your schedule is tighter and you want the passes, village stops and Nho Que River. Choose 4 days for Lung Khuy Cave, Du Gia’s extra homestay night, waterfall time and the final-day Lung Tam experience. Both require leaving Hanoi on Day 0.

Can I join solo?

Yes, you can enquire as a solo traveller to join a group. Shared meals and accommodation give you opportunities to meet people without having to join every activity. Ask us to check your preferred date and room arrangements.

Do I have to ride myself?

No. Choose Easy Rider to travel as a passenger with a driver. Self-riding is for people with suitable experience, accepted riding documents and appropriate insurance. Both options involve motorbike travel on mountain roads.

What documents do self-riders need?

You need valid riding documents accepted in Vietnam for the bike you will use, plus appropriate insurance. Requirements depend on your documents and circumstances; check current official requirements and your insurer’s terms. Tell us what you hold before booking. A tour or practice session does not replace licensing or experience.

Are evenings all about partying?

No. Meals, games and music are part of the social atmosphere, but activities and alcohol are optional. “Happy water” is alcohol; drinks are not included. A quieter evening is a valid choice, though shared accommodation does not mean a guaranteed quiet or private setting.

What is the accommodation like?

Simple shared homestay / dorm-style stays are standard. The 4-day route adds Du Gia to the Yen Minh and Pa Vi / Meo Vac nights. Private upgrades may be available; confirm the supplement’s charging basis and occupancy. Specific rooms and buildings are not promised.

When do I leave Hanoi?

The day before the riding tour begins. The working sheet lists Jasmine pickups at 10:00 AM or 8:00 PM; confirm the actual arrangement, bus type and arrival bed with us. Pickup and bus departure are not necessarily the same time.

Can I travel somewhere else after the loop?

The booking sheet lists Hanoi return and onward options to Sapa, Ha Long / Cat Ba and Ninh Binh. See the supplements above. Confirm your destination, transport and connection timing before making another booking.

What is not included?

Personal travel / medical insurance, drinks, personal expenses and VAT are excluded. Upgrades and applicable supplements add to the price. Bike damage cover is not personal insurance. Ask us to confirm the total, transfer inclusion and any pre-tour accommodation.

How do I confirm a booking?

Message Hanoi Backpackers Hostels with your date, number of people, duration and riding preference. We’ll check arrangements and availability, then explain the quote, payment steps and booking conditions. Sending a WhatsApp message does not itself confirm a place.

What about luggage, food requirements or cancellation?

Ask us before booking about luggage storage, dietary requirements, cancellation terms and any other specific needs. These details are not confirmed in the supplied tour material, so we will check rather than promise.

Next / A message, not a marathon form

Bring your dates.
Leave room for another photo.

Send your preferred riding start date, number of people, 3 or 4 days, and self-riding or Easy Rider. Not sure yet? Tell us what you’re deciding between.

You’re enquiring with Hanoi Backpackers Hostels. Jasmine Tours operates the trip. Current price, availability, transport, supplements and booking conditions must be confirmed before your booking is final.
